MUSIC NAVbarz 2
Polar Levine has had multiple careers as musician/composer, performance artist, visual artist, actor and graphic designer. He's not really a journalist but he plays one the internet.

.

Danny Schechter, MediaChannel's Mr. Big, approached Polar about creating a "soundtrack" for his book, "The More You Watch, The Less You Know." Sharing Danny's media obsessions, Polar gladly took on the challenge by writing and producing NEWS GOO, a rap song that comments on the corporate dumbing down of news and information. Rapper, D.A.V. performs Polar's words.

.

Danny and Polar have continued their collaborations with MEDIA WARS, a "soundtrack" to Danny's book of the same name; disCONTENT, a parody of Brill's CONTENT (Brill laughed); A FAMILY SITUATION, a remix of Nile Rodgers re-recording of that song as post-9/11 statement, scoring his film WMD: Weapons Of Mass Deception and IN DEBT WE TRUST: America Before The Bubble Bursts.

Polar has brought his perspective as an artist and fellow media-malcontent to extending MediaChannel's voice into the arts -- resulting in popCULTmedia which he edited and designed.
